One of the many advantages of living close to the Goffertpark (a big park located in the geographical centre of my hometown Nijmegen) is the fact that every Summer, we get the opportunity to listen to famous artists for free. All I have to do is open my windows (when the wind blows in the direction of my house, that is not even necessary) and listen to them. I remember listening to November Rain by Guns ‘n’ Roses last year. When I really want to make use of the possibility of listening to live music for free, I take a 500 metre walk to the park and can even see a glimpse of the screens from a certain spot (where half of the neighbourhood gathers, by the way).
This year, I took a step further, and bought tickets to see one of my favourite band: Muse. They visited Nijmegen, and just like when they were here 9 years ago, I went to see them from inside the concert terrain. And I was not disappointed: they played a magnificent show. The musical performance was great, and so was the show. As you can see on the picture, we took a position relatively close to the stage and really enjoyed ourselves.
Now all I have to do is to hope that great bands will visit the park again, next year!
